Rotary Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer
Technical principle
● Rotating RTO consists of a combustion chamber, a cylindrical ceramic heat storage bed and a rotating gas distribution valve;
● The rotation of the rotary valve can change the air flow direction in different areas of the ceramic bed, thereby continuously preheating the VOCs exhaust gas, and the exhaust gas is oxidized and decomposed in the oxidation chamber. The rotary valve is periodically circulated to ensure the stable and continuous operation of the equipment.
● During RTO operation, when the exhaust gas concentration is low, the heat is replenished through the burner on the oxidation chamber.

● Compared with the multiple switching valves of the bed-type RTO, the rotary RTO has only one moving part and operates more stably;
● The rotary RTO has a smaller footprint;
● Low requirements for working conditions, which can treat almost all organic compounds;
● High purification efficiency, the purification rate of two-bed RTO is more than 99%, and the heat recovery efficiency is ≈96%;
● Low operating cost. When the VOCs concentration reaches 1500mg / m3, no additional fuel consumption is needed. For example, if the VOCs concentration is higher, the secondary waste heat can be recycled.
● The system uses PLC automatic combustion control, with high degree of automation, stable operation, high safety and reliability;
● RTO design controls 3T, temperature, residence time and turbulence coefficient.
